Searching for: Information on
Marlow/Brown Marriage Guildford, St. Nicholas,
Surrey
Was searching for information on my ancestors on the LDS site, and your "Howard" site came up as a possible match, although in scanning your site, I can;t find any similarities, except they both mention Guildford, Surrey. Perhaps you can let me know if there is something in common with your "Howard's"and my ancestors. My info is as follows:
W. W MARLOW, married 06June1864 to ROSABELL BROWN in Guildford, St. Nicholas, Surrey. They had two children that I know of
1) Ernest Marlow (b. 11Oct1871 in Holmerton, London, England),
and
2) Edgar Marlow (DOB Unknown)
Please let me know if any of this rings a bell with you. Looking forward to hearing from you and Happy New Year. We saw some of England's New Year's fireworks display on T.V. last night - it was quite spectacular!

Searching for: Information on Anna
Mary Searle, who married William Robert
Hardy in 1861 at Croyden, Surrey, England
I found your website while searching for Anna Mary Searle, who married William Robert Hardy in 1861 at Croyden, Surrey, England. I see you have a few Searle names in your index but I don't see how they connect to mine. The Hardys lived on Walton Heath - I have a map of their property, which was sold at auction about 1874, and have visited it. The family both raised and milled corn (wheat to us)--the old windmills on the heath are related to their threshing or milling operation. We have a Searle coat-of-arms (mistakenly thought to have been Hardy) and various stories about the family, which emigrated to the U.S. c. 1875. I do not know the names of the parents of either Anna Mary Searle or William Robert Hardy, and I don't know if they are related to the Howards, but they certainly did live in your neighborhood. They are my great-great-grandparents and are buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetary, Nashville, Tennessee. My mother is still living and their son, William Arthur Hardy, lived in her home when she was a child. We have his christening dress, which was given to him by his godfather, the Duke of Wellington. She says Anne Boleyn's castle was near their home (have no idea about that, but you might know something about it). I am so glad to have established contact with you and would appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you very much,
